Friendly atmosphere, good food and decent selection of real ales. Function room with live entertainment most weekends.

I picked this pub virtually at random from the GBG. It looks a bit of a 1970's throwback but it was comfortable, friendly and the beer was spot on. I didn't eat there but the food looked good too. I would certainly make a detour to visit again.

I can confirm that the landlord and landlady (Jim & Jean) have sold The Last Inn, having been there since 1981. Hopefully, they'll have many happy years of much deserved retirement; they are after all, in their late 70s.

It is not all bad news (hopefully).

The Last Inn has been sold to a landlord who is a Real Ale and live music enthusiast, so hopefully, The Last Inn won't change too much !

(I've heard a rumour its been sold off - can anyone confirm this - damn shame if it is).

If you like a great steak and chips, a REALLY good pint, an open fire and an equally warm welcome...the last is top-notch.

I have spent many a night working my way down the bar sampling the half a dozen or so real-ales on offer - they change often so you have to sample them all right. I haven't quite made it along the bar and back again but not for the want of trying.

Great place, down to earth and what country pubs are all about - go soon just in case the closure rumour is true!!!!
