well where do i start? most people in there can barely read or write, (apart from dss forms obviously), and is probably the worst pub in colchester. full of skin heads, jobless, single mothers, crack heads, crims,.......you get the picture. if you fancy a good punch up, or stabbing, this is the place! still, the more low lifes in here the less there are in other pubs........

Went in here last year to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen for ages. As all three of us had really short haircuts people kept assuming we were skinheads and were about to kick off any second when we were basically minding our own business, it was quite funny! the atmosphere was pretty lively though, good to see a pub in Colchester town that hasn't either turned into a dodgy wine bar or closed.

"Beer not always top quality" indeed. Pricey. (£2.30 for Newastle Brown) Not bad to pop into of an afternoon, but I wouldn't want to stay for more than a couple of pints.
