| Cosy and very friendly traditional two rooms pub on the outskirts of Cardiff. We went there early on a Saturday afternoon (03.02.2007) to watch Liverpool-Everton on the TV screen and to have some pints of well kept ales on cask from the Brains Brewery. | A brilliant and much-loved local. Top-rate cask beer and Guinness. Big screen rugby etc in back bar, darts, skittle alley. Nice old-style decor with stained glass' lots of wood etc. My only fear: How long will it be before the place gets ripped apart, decorated with spotlights and filled with lager for students? | Excellent place! Most of the pubs in the area have sold out to students with garish colours and laminate floor where as this is still very much a traditional local's pub. Beer garden is great and used to have both bunnies and a bird aviery - though I haven't been in for a while so don't know if this is still the case. Hope this place never changes! | Lovely traditional pub, in a quite side street just off the busy Albany Rd shopping area. Roath is a very studenty area but this is one of the few pubs in the area which is more centered to the locals, but saying that there is always a good mix of people. Lovely beer garden out the back, with bunnie rabbits and a bird aviery. Definately woth a visit Sal - 16 Jun 2004 15:22 |
