| Excellent beer. Great choice, ie David Porter's : bitter; porter; mild; strong bitter(Sunshine @ 5.3%); premium bitter (4.2%) and lightbitter (3.6%) plus a cloudy wheat beer; two guest bitters, and draught cider. Oh yes -- lager too if you fancy it. lots of bottled beer too, but haven't tried these. The price is right. Bill - 2 Oct 2003 14:36 |
| A Porter's real ale pub, basic and friendly with an excellent choice of hand made live beer, as well as guest beers and ciders. There is a good choice and the price is right.. mild is £1.20, Bitter £1.30/£1.70.. compare that to other real ale venues in Bury .. at least one of which starts their price list at £1.90 and then gets ridiculous. The Arthur Inn has 8 or 9 working handpumps, and lager & bottles for those who prefer it. A GREAT pub. Albert Williams - 10 Sep 2003 11:11 |
