| Highly disappointing visit here last Friday. My first pint of cask ale was past its best and starting to turn vinous. The second was close to vinegar and undrinkable. Not what you expect from an outlet listed in the Good Beer Guide and a recent Camra Pub of the season winner. Most drinks were served in the wrong branded glassware and even the lager was cloudy! Topped off by no soap and no poo paper in the gents. I should have spoken to the licensee but got the impression he really didn't care. So I'll be avoiding here in future. Whilst we can all have our 'off days' its hard to believe that outlets with such poor retail standards will survive. andyp - 23 Jun 2011 19:04 |
