| Was in there this lunchtime. Two guys doing bar service and food orders. No sign of any tables having been cleaned in the last hour or so. The beer was cheap and that's all you could say in its favour. As always the TV was on but, thankfully turned down. Dan137 - 28 Aug 2011 16:01 |
| A Wetherspoons/LLoyds No.1 bar with all the standard fixtures and fittings - one of their newer bars (they have also just opened The Hatchet in Newbury). Sad to say they have the usual issue with the guest beers as they don't turn the pump clips round or put a sign on them to say that the beer is not actually available and this can be very frustrating!!!! What looked like a good selection of beers truned out to be 3 guest ales and 2 of them went "off" as I got there. Also, the advertising stated that there would be 6 guest ales including Ruddles and Abbot wich of course are standard "always available" house beers and not guests.
