| Massively popular pub no matter what time of the day you visit. Have been here at noon mid-week and have seen it packed out with the blue rinse brigade - I thought maybe a SAGA coach trip had turned up!! If you've been to Toby Carvery's before it's pretty much like all the others though the bar does real ale so a pint of Youngs does go down well. There is outside seating but the majority of people visiting come here to pile their food up as high as they can in the carvery. As with all these type of places you don't really go there for the pub experience but mainly for the cheap food that's on offer. It's still worth a visit though. wezmiester - 11 Nov 2011 18:14 |
| If you love your pub toilets, this is the place to go. The landlord is insanely passionate about the toilet experience and has made sure every last detail has been honed to maximum effect. What other pub has a fruit machine and a guest book in the gents? And on special occasions, the landlord himself will personally supervise your trip to the bathroom to make sure you fully benefit from the special event. Be sure to ask him how he managed mount the Karaoke machine above the gold-plated urinals; it's an epic tale. No idea about the beer or food, never left the toilet.
