Like this place, traditional feel and 2 TVs with live sport. Pride and Courage on draught and the husband and wife team seem friendly enough. Novel shelter outside with wood burner for smokers is an interesting touch. thehonesttruth - 4 Nov 2011 22:37
There is cold beer and then there is freezing cold beer, need to turn the chiller down a couple of notches!! HamptonBoozer123 - 25 Nov 2010 14:04
Really like this pub. Very trad, one bar, 2 TVs, friendly bar staff, great beef and mustard crisps! PJ's very fastidious and his Pride's always in excellent nick. Locals aren't always that welcoming to outsiders, mind! cheese_and_onion - 15 Oct 2009 17:05
A very traditional old school pub. PJ is a lovely guy who works his socks off. Tied into Enterprize inns though and that is a massive handicap. Very 'clicky' customers highstreetdrinker - 26 Aug 2009 14:43
This pub seems to have its roots firmly set in the 70's. Needs a real make over to include the customers! PJ is a really nice guy though so its not all bad Man_on_ground - 12 Jul 2009 21:56
