| A somewhat eccentric mix of customers use this place. Always seems to be busy and never had any problems in my visits here. Not everyones cup of tea but I strangely like the atmosphere in here. ng10 - 12 Aug 2011 09:23 |
| Memories of this pub in 1961, when the vandals used to throw there beer bottles over the wall onto the passing trains below, especially if Forest won their match chiefknut - 24 Jan 2011 15:18 |
| Busy city centre pub populated almost entirely by raucous over 50's. Didn't seem the kind of place for decent ale so I had a lager. This place was a bit of a throwback though it's good to see an old fashioned city centre boozer that hasn't been poncified, gastrified or turned in to a venue for brattish kids. | Fairly typical town centre pub, but a decent pint of Bombardier, and a bizarre discussion about western tv show themes with some blokes I didn't know. turbohorsebox - 11 Jul 2010 22:43 |
