| i am surprised at some of the negative reviews on here as i have been on atg least a dozen occasions and the food is always top notch and the ale always pleasant. the restaurant part of the pub is wuite upmarket, whilst the bar does excellent food at a reasonable price bluebirdtheunbitter - 7 Feb 2012 12:05 |

| Didn't seem quite as restaurant-y as other comments led me to believe, although was quiet on my visit. Was divided in 2 and one section seemed like a fairly normal pub. Helpful staff, although they assume you want to eat. Was OK. Had a nice enough pint outside. Does smell of fish however. Sure it tastes very nice though johnwarkstache - 1 Jun 2009 14:39 |

| i agree the food here is very good, but what puts me off is the dog they own, walking behind the bar and in and out of the kitchen. is this allowed these days? puts me off a little. mike52 - 18 Mar 2009 19:43 |
