| I would rate this gay pub as very good , which is also frequented by friendly straights alike. The pub offers excellant for value food during the day time hours of 12 to 7pm. Drinks are very WELL PRICED ALSO COMPARABLE WITH SUCH PLACE'S AS YATES AND SIMILAR VENUES. mostly i think the pub is a great social place as the bar staff are genuinley friendly and want to knows their customers as does the manager , one is made to feel welcome at all times .The pub also offers people who are there own a friendly welcome .ANOTHER THING I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE PUB WELCOMES ALL AGES , SO YOU CAN BE TALKING TO PEOPLE OF ALL AGES FROM 18 TO 80 AND FOR A GAY BAR I FIND THAT TO BE QUITE RARE. So gay or straight young or old its a friendly place wear all can mix chat laught drink and eat . tHE NIGHT CLUB ALSO OFFERS THE SAME AND THE FRIENDLY NATURE EVEN STRETCHES TO THE DOOR STAFF TOO. | If you're on the south coast, go to southampton instead, you won't regret it. Marthas is ok as a pub for a few drinks, but nothing special, and the nightclub seems to be only rated highly by people who have never set foot in gay venues elsewhere. Nick - 8 Oct 2004 15:38 |
