Opened out in to one big room (from the original multi-roomed layout) with pool table, estate feel and clientelle to match. No ale and no likliehood of any .Had a pint of Stella while pondering on the "We Are a Responsible Drinks Retailer" as a trio of half sloshed middle aged bints with too much horse flesh on display wobbled past to go for a smoke in the 'garden' (garden being the path down the side of the pub affording a view of the railway). Old tiling under the bar was the only redeeming feature. If you are really desperate for an alcohol fix this is the only pub near the station. Snarling_Mallard - 30 May 2010 12:03

The pub is freezing, but the staff are warm. Definitely a football pub on football days. On non-football days you can watch yourself, and your beer, shudder from sympathy in this recession. Fabulous staff, pity about the customers. When they do arrive you realise the pub is better off with out them.......! zanadoo - 26 Mar 2009 23:44
Very handy 4 the station and a pretty decent pint of bombardier, bit too much of a football pub though 4 my liking, 6/10 fat_beer_badger - 17 Nov 2008 17:30
No, it's not rough, it's just crap. Well's Bombardier the only beer on last time I was there, and it was undrinkable, a couple sips and out. Which teaches us an important rule: if it's not a real ale pub, don't be principled, go for Guinness, because the beer will be in bad nick. Learnt! Dreadful, overall. Dimple_mug - 6 Sep 2008 14:35
