| Family style pub in prime walking territory near Hadrian's Wall, with a large car park for patrons only. Black Sheep Best Bitter and Consett Ale Works Cast Iron were the two real ales available. The interior is fairly modern and appears popular with diners. TVs were off, whilst music was playing quietly.
