| Attractive old red brick roadside pub with hanging baskets, window boxes etc. and tables conveniently outside the front door. It's not quite so inviting inside, a bit dull and dingy. Also what spoiled the effect was the very steep drink prices and snotty service from one barman (I'm told other staff are nice although everyone moans about the prices). The food, while quite good, is also way overpriced, although strangely the pub seems to do a good trade. A small car park is the other drawback. drinker999 - 24 Jul 2010 16:05 |
