A pub with a great musical heritage, well located and possessing some impressive New Orleans-style balustrades so a good stopping off point near to the docks - but it's a little soulless in its decoration and a pint of Bath Ales Gem wasn't as tiptop as one would expect of that fine brew.

Smallish pub, wide range of food and drink. Probably better known for the music scene, gigs upstairs.

I ran this place briefly in the 1970s, when it was the Bathurst Tavern (relief management) during the powerboat racing in the docks.
Great fun, but mostly lager-drinkers then. I'm glad it wasn't my own pub, but it WAS an experience.

Largish pub just off the centre, but very quiet on a recent Monday night. It's probably the bands that pulls the punter's in, it doesn't have a massive amount of atmosphere as a pub.
The landlord didn't seem terribly happy to be there (fair enough perhaps as it was so quiet) and there was only one beer on tap (London Pride). Ciders on tap were Thatcher's Gold, Gaymer's Original & Gaymer's Pear. All drinks served in plastic glasses which is rather naff.

I travelled from Bath to go to a gig here. It had sold out (I should have checked first!) but I stayed for a couple of pints because it's a pleasant place. Went to another gig here a few months later (that hadn't sold out!). Stage area upstairs is ideal for intimate gigs!
