both ales off when visited and £3.00 for a pint of Strongbow was a bit steep. Quite a nice pub though all the same so scrapes a 7/10 in my books. fat_beer_badger - 1 Jan 2007 22:33
So the landlord has finally switched to English food. The Thai was good, but the English menu is way above what I expected, and the food really is superb. Don't know where he got the chef from but he has got a gem! Try the Chiken with pistacio and pork stuffing.....fantastic! Quality at last in Salisbury! Yokiboha - 27 Jul 2006 14:46
New landlord is taking the piss with prices. When he took over the price of a pint of 1664 went from £2.85 to £2.95, now he is charging £3.10. I won't be going back calumt - 25 Feb 2006 10:23
I went in here on a Saturday night and the place was dead - about half a dozen (Thai?) women eating and about four men, plus a couple sitting in the corner. It seemed odd because the place is huge. There were 3 real ales - London Pride, Ringwood Best & Courage Best. The Pride I had was fine, but a bit expensive (I think) at £2-60 a pint - but then Pride always does seem to be expensive for its strength anyway. Trequites - 26 Oct 2005 12:19
Under new management again, and obviously for the better! Went in with some trepidation (lats time I wlked in I walked straight out) to get out of the rain and glad I did. Quiet place, lovely staff and good beer. Didn't try the Thai food but will soon. anonymous - 24 Aug 2005 13:00
