| Staying at Masons campsite in Appletreewick up the road, we popped in here whilst on a walk along the Wharfe, thinking we'd find a little pub en route. With this being a hotel, we thought it would have just one or two beers. How wrong were we? We went inside to find a rather large selection of beers: Timothy Taylor Golden Best and Boltmaker, Theakston's Best, Copper Dragon Golden Pippin, Black Horse Hetton Pale and Wharfe Bitter. | Very pleasant pub with a very good range of ales, mostly local in provenance. Quality food available from sandwiches up to full meals. If anything, a little too food orientated, with little room for just sitting and drinking when it's busy, unless the sun shines when there is plenty of space outside. | A very fine hotel, pub and restaurant. The first stop on our Yorkshire Dales walk in May. Timothy Taylor Golden Best, Copper Dragon, Mary Jane being the beers on tap. The food was pretty good too.
