| Newly redecorated pub in a beautiful village that has won "Best Kept Village" several times. I think it has recently changed owners and is clearly on the up. What a cracking pub. Regularly rotating guest beer, - it was Theakston Grouse Beater on the day of our visit. Plenty of parking space, excellent food. Bench-tables at the front of the pub give a lovely view over the village. Very friendly locals and possibly the most helpful staff I have come across in years. Friends were due to meet us there late, but we were getting close to the end of food ordering time. Because there is no mobile signal, the staff offered us use of the land-line to ring their order through.
