Our first pub on our Great Underground pub crawl. The Duke of York is more a restaurant that happens to sell beer. No real ale so had hogarden

More of a candelit restaurant than a pub. Staff seemed friendly enough until 2300. The sound of the bell hadn't even finished resonating in my ears when the doors were flung open to the sub zero temperatures outside and stools were stacked up on tables around our ears. Disgraceful. Avoid

Staff have few manners and provide poor service (traces of snacks from the previous customer enddd up on my trousers as the lady was cleaning the table without paying much regard to my presence). At 5.90 a pint of leffe (i know...but they have no ales) and surrounded by people who try desperately to appear something that they are not...i see little appeal in this 'pub'.
