| My wife and I stayed at this pub this weekend for 2 nights and we could not fault it in any way. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere on friday night when the pub became full of locals. The Palmers ales on draught were well kept and the food was excellent and not over priced, and the roaring log fire which the landlord paid great attention to, provided a wonderful atmosphere. | 17th century pub sympathetically refurbished while retaining its character. Three (or was it 4?) excellently kept Palmers ales plus one other on the handles.
