user reviews of The Anchor Hotel, Burnham on Crouch

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We visited Burnham-on-Crouch on Saturday when the sun was out, the crowds outside the pub on the Quay overlooking the River Crouch drew us to The Anchor. We had lunch, which included an excellent "large" Cod & Chips and shared a bottle of nicely chilled wine. Mel who served us was friendly and Matz the barman made us chuckle!

It was difficult to get away as the setting was so nice, but we walked off to the Dengie Marshes to work off our lunch.

Be back again later in the summer, I hope.
