| found this pub through the good beer guide, it has a great range of ales, the best whisky list of seen this side of scotland and live music. The best pub ive found in stafford exactly how a town center trad pub should be. delerium - 14 Dec 2010 19:07 |
| This was one of the first Irish theme pubs I ever encountered. Though the name remains, the pub interior, thankfully, has mellowed back into one fitting of a good back street pub. Service is friendly, whether you are a regular or just passing. Regulars are friendly and don't make it awkward for you to get to the bar. Beer is always in top condition. | I was surprised to find this very central Stafford pub not on here already, although it is rather hidden away down an alleyway off the main town square. I liked it a lot on my own visit - a surprisingly large interior with several rooms, and - on a Saturday afternoon - a busy and friendly feel. A good number of real ales available, and the one I had (the name of which I've forgotten) was pretty well-served. I would return. grecian - 11 Mar 2010 12:26 |
