| Didn't visit before the refurb so can't say what it was like before but it is certainly a smart looking place now. It has a fairly upmarket feel to the place with prices to match! | Now under new ownership. All music gigs cancelled - even Halloween, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Rumour is that it will close sometime during winter for refurbishment and re-open as hotel/restaurant with NO ENTERTAINMENT. Alehouse - 17 Oct 2012 16:46 |
| Regular Monday night music session and regular & Friday local musicians get-together with guests no longer take place. Very disappointed not to be able to play as usual. It used to be a big part of my holiday. Fridays now have guest bands and people are no longer encouraged to join in. | Great folk band on last Monday night and well kept local ales too. Very busy with pilotgig (rowing of wooden boats by teams of 5 or more) contest on as well as Morris dancers on another evening. Staff were helpful and friendly. ladybeerdrinker - 21 Aug 2011 17:39 |
