| This is a brand new build pub next to the new Premier Travel Inn, it’s one of the Table Table chain. It’s so new you can smell it, it’s quite nicely done in a plastic chain bar sort of way, although some of the pictures are pretty good. If you’ve been in one of these places before then you’ve effectively been here as well. It’s a very large place totally aimed at diners, but drinkers are reasonably well catered for, although there’s no lounge style seating, its all dining tables. There are two handpumps on the bar selling Pedigree and Banks’s Bitter. The Pedigree was a very reasonable £2.45 for the city centre and tasted OK if a little cold. There are several big screen TVs around the place showing Sky Sports News along with a Quiz machine. There’s also a large outdoor seating area with fantastic views of the back of the station and the main road. I won’t be visiting again, but I’ve been in a lot worse. ROBCamra - 6 Oct 2009 08:57 |
