Nice little haven to escape the mania of Pic Circus. Solid beer - Price and T Taylor both reliable - and the landlord is always cheery and friendly. Some of his staff couldn't speak much English when I last went a few months ago, which didn't really matter, except when he thought I'd ordered a *pint* of Bushmills and began to empty the bottle! willale - 16 Oct 2008 22:48
Have had a dodgy pint here in the past, but the Timothy Taylor Landlord was in good condition today. The small upstairs room (with generally non-functioning bar) doesn't look exactly finished, but downstairs is usually pretty full so can be worth a try. Not great, but you can certainly do much worse in the Shaftesbury Avenue area. rpadam - 16 Oct 2008 22:33
The closest thing to a "local" in a top tourist area ,great range of beers kept in fist class condition, always a friendly welcome, food also worthy.I always make a visit whenever i'm in town. ramsinbeds - 10 Jul 2008 09:59
i used to work in the dive bar - with Michael about 14-15 years ago - if michel's running this bar still then i guarantee a warm lively reception where the beer will be good and you;'ll be made very welcome ;) cheers Mike M dharmasoul - 19 Nov 2007 17:04
Great pub. Not sure how I had managed to not go here before. Went for a couple of pints on a friends birthday, Timothy Taylor Landlord available. Perfectly kept and at a very reasonable price. Also had a salad for my tea, delicious but a little pricey. silentbob9484 - 24 Sep 2007 11:57
