Great pub just outside the city centre. Up to six real ales on. Found this place by accident when on an exploratory pub crawl. Worth looking for (its just up the road towards the Cathedral from the Green Dragon). zipdiskdude - 18 Jul 2011 23:16
I've lived in Lincoln for 11 years, but never got around to visiting this pub until recently. It's always been on the list. Glad I did. Good town pub with atmposphere and character. Real ale is good quality and it's in the Good Beer Guide. A proper pub. Ale is locally sourced in some cases and I have to say it is very well kept. Worth a visit. Mothbag - 14 Mar 2011 15:28
Eclectic music-led pub on the main thoroughfare on the edge of the City Centre. it's one basic, traditionally-furnished, opened out room but is brimming with character, from the corridor (mentioned below) and fire to the friendliness of the staff and locals. Table football is at the back, always fun. A good beer choice- Landlord, Young's Bitter and 2 guests, Young's Bitter in good form. Excellent jukebox. A great all-round place- you know the type, not specially traditional but the character makes up for that. One to return to. Carlurmston - 4 Jul 2010 17:58
In every town or city there’s always one pub that attracts a really eclectic range of customers, this is Lincolns. Leather jackets, beanie hats, piercings, tattoos, dreadlocks and well dressed middle aged couples (plus two superheroes last Saturday, honest) they’re all here and all made equally welcome. One large floorboarded room with an unusual drinking corridor to the right. A real fire in the main room and an impressive variety of things on the wall. I especially like the cartoon drawings of all the staff over the fireplace. 6 handpumped beers on offer, TT Landlord plus changing guests. The pints I had were fine. They also have four, yes four, real ciders available. It’s not a pub for the faint hearted as it’s pretty raucous in a friendly sort of way, but it’s well worth a visit. ROBCamra - 4 Dec 2009 14:21
Art deco theme running through the pub with a strange seperate corridoor seating area seperates the main room- looks like it used to be the exterior wall and still has windows in. Large rear courtyard. Good varying live music (on sat nights), easy alternative atmosphere. Lots of facial hair and Tats! Beer has been good on weekends. Taylors Landlord and two guests from local micros. brisk - 6 Feb 2008 12:37
