I took the family for sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food, roast lamb with everything inc. yorkshire pudding, its only downside is badger beers. andy73 - 15 Mar 2008 22:55
The food here is very good. Home cooked, decent portions, good quality. Nice to find they will do childrens portions of the regular menu so they get to eat proper food as well. Although it is on the main road there are some tables by the river that are pleasant in the summer. As ever for a Wimborne pub I just wish they would offer a decent guest beer and not restrict the choice to Badger. If they did I would drop in for a pint as it is my local! hockey - 12 Mar 2007 20:21
I was very impressed with this pub on my first visit and have made sure it was not my last. Good food, and the menu had a varied selection. The beer is well kept and the friendly atmosphere is equal on both sides of the bar. Wish I'd found it earlier. anonymous - 13 Feb 2007 12:28
Bridget and Bob have turned Crown and Anchor into our second home. Well kept beer, outstanding food and a always a warm welcome. The best pub in Wimborne says Todd. k9todd - 22 May 2006 12:26
The pub has changed hands in last few months and greatly improved. Very well kept Badger Best and Sussex. Friendly staff and excellent atmosphere - certainly one of the better pubs in Wimborne for those looking for a "real" pub. Dave Allen (age44 & 3/4) - 11 Mar 2004 22:41
