Popped in for a coffee with Mrs Hilton during a recent shopping trip thinking it was a cafe and was surprised to see a handpump on the bar selling one of the Cotleigh brews Decided to stick with the coffee as the pump obviously hadn't been used for while so was not confident that the beer would meet my usual high standard. Service left a lot to be desired too, the manager/barman/waiter believed that filling up the salt and pepper pots, or whatever he was doing, was a higher priority than taking some money off a customer. Positives: ok coffee Negatives: Poor standard beer, poor service Paris_Hilton - 30 Oct 2009 16:29
I have to disagree with the previous 2 postings I'm afraid. Basically it's a music venue for "unsigned bands". Well, there's usually a good reason for them being unsigned, namely, they're no bloody good. It's not a bad little cafe bar during the day, although the coffee is quite awful, and the service slapdash. At night it's just full of teenaged brats and drunken old tossers. They have one ale on sale, but it's often tired and stale. Altogether disappointing. Dr_Pangloss - 4 Jul 2009 09:25
Well run establishment that ticks most of the boxes needed for a decent evening out, comfortable surroundings, clean, good music, food if desired, not surrounded by knuckle draggers. Please other bar owners in centre take note and learn how to run a pub successfully. hammers101 - 23 Jun 2009 07:59
