| Nice design and furnishings but this was spoilt by the unfriendly bar staff (apart from manager!) and expensive drink prices. We went along for the pub quiz on a Sunday, but when the 'quiz master' turned up (late) they decided not to bother with it. Liz123 - 15 Mar 2010 16:39 |
| What an unpleasant experience this was. Went for a meal, told to sit anywhere. Moved away from one area by staff. Moved on AGAIN by the landlord - "those seats are reserved". When we asked where we could sit he was rude. Rushed into ordering food. Food mediocre, and cold. We obviously weren't drinking enough because they came and asked us to pay up (presumably meaning pay up and go). I wouldn't recommend this pub for anyone. Best avoided, thoroughly nasty. | Good pub Overall, food poor, staff friendly, biggest gripe is they do not look after its local regulars, too much time looking after the students, thats why during holiday time its dead, there are plenty of locals to fill this pub over and over but the locals are left out. anonymous - 1 Sep 2007 12:07 |
