| Thought an update was in order. Three real ales, good choice of lagers and ciders, as well as Theakston's Dark Smooth. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere from staff who are very focused. Food is top quality, and very reasonably priced. robfrancis - 9 Sep 2011 15:29 |

| Nearest pub to station. Friendly, efficient (and rather cute) barmaid. Three good ales - and £2.50 for a pint seemed very cheap to this Londoner! Wide range of food available from 6pm to 8.45, and I'll deffo be back to try it sometime. Sky Sports News running on TV but quietly, so not a problem. The only slight irritations were the furniture layout (the main room is dominated by large circular tables with no obvious 'snug' corners), and some rather loud (but I stress not unfriendly) locals. | The new landlord took over in the summer of last year, and has improved the pub drastically. New and improved pub menu, better choice of real ale, and the atmosphere has improved greatly. Always worth a visit. robfrancis - 14 Jun 2009 14:43 |
| Nice village pub, a games room with pool darts, etc, a public bar, a dining area and a conservatory leading to a small garden. Greene King IPA, London Pride and Spitfire in good condition plus Kronenberg, Fosters, Guinness, and John Smith's and Theakston's smooths. Décor is a bit plain, white walls relived only by a few old photos of the village. The customers are drawn from a wide range of ages etc. oldboots - 13 Jun 2009 15:55 |
