A friendly old style locals pub not far from the station. Only a few mainstream ales on offer though the Pride was nice enough.

Having heard that this pub had been re-vamped since my last visit I thought I'd give it another go. The new owners have chanegd the character a little and there are more beers on. Still many of the same faces, and it remains a reasonabel back-street boozer, worth popping in to while waiting for a train. The TV spoils it a bit for me, but each to his own. I had a decent pint of Bass and would be happy to pop in again.

Back street pub, handy for the station. Draught Bass, Fullers London Pride and Brains Reverend James were all on yesterday. Friendly if unremarkable pub.

Beat me to it! Agreed, very decent boozer which is a short walk from the railway station. Few good ales on fromthe big boys, including Abbot, Bass and Bombardier. the latter was in great form on my visit. Local boozer but friendly with it. A few different drinking areas including a sparsely-furnished snug and a back roomm. Sky sports shown. and friendly service. Nothing spectacular but definitely worth popping in if waiting for a train.

Good locals' pub, busy and friendly, no nonsense and a typical boozer. We had a few good pints of Banks's which made for a good relaxed evening.

It's worth seeking out and I'd be happy to come back, though it wouldn't be my first choice in Stafford.
