| This place was closed for a while, which was a shame, as it used to be quite nice. Recently re-opened so thought I'd give it a try. Still looks nice, but the beer was a disappointment. Only one beer on handpump (Jennings) which tasted just like keg! I could be wrong, but I would say that a Cask Breather was pushing CO2 into the barrel. If you don't want real ale, the place is OK. But if you do. AVOID THIS PUB. nigsy - 27 Apr 2011 00:41 |

| Reasonable little pub on the Horbury Bypass on the way to Horbury Bridge, a few minutes walk form Horbury centre. Does OK food, (nothing spectacular, just hearty pub grub). Selection of ales from Jennings last time I was there. Attractive stone cottage from the outside, fairly low key inside: not traditional olde worlde pub feel, just a little tired. Lacks atmosphere, and is a little off the beaten track. They have a garden ,but I'm not sure what it's like, though it may be noisy as the pub is on a busy main road. Worth a bevvy or two if you are passing Woodie09 - 3 Jul 2009 14:37 |
