The pub has a pleasant ambience, but it is not a pleasant dining experience. There were 10 of us so maybe this was too much for them. The service was incredibly slow and whilst the carvery seemed to be very good, the remainder of the food was not. My granddaughter's spaghetti was cold and had to be sent back, my friend's "sizzling" dish did not "sizzle" and was luke warm, my husband's calves liver was over-cooked and tough and my own meal, a beefburgher, was over-cooked and hard. The staff did not seem to care all that much although they did not argue when the spaghetti was sent back. I did not add service to the bill of 200 because it was awful. It is not a cheap pub, so expect better. I also did not argue this at the time because it was my daughter's birthday and did not want to ruin her day, but on another occasion, I would not pay for this food, except the carvery.

The Horsehoe is a lovely pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is with a smile and staff are professional about their jobs.

The Horseshoe is one of the few dog friendly pubs left in Warlingham and we are regularly offered a bowl of water for our mutt whenever we go in.

The restaurant menu is excellent but a little pricey. Bar snacks are pretty good. Tapas/light bite snacks are verygood value and a tasty alternative to a bag of crisps.

Lovely pub, Friendly staff, No unusual ales but a cracking pint of Harvey's and Strongbow on draught, Lovely beer garden out front.. Great atmos and well worth paying that extra 40p by moving on from The White Lion next door which is dull.

In here last Saturday just after 1.00 and a bit quiet.
More of a Food place but pricey. Jacket Spud with Tuna & Mayo 6.50!!!!
Some old dear was eating something that turned out to be Bubble & Squeak with a fried egg on top and a little side pot with some baked beans in it for 8.50!! I stick to the beer.
They have 3 hand pulls but only two were in use.
Greene King IPA and Sharps Doombar which was 3.30 a pint but well kept.
Now that is 40p more than the dearest pint in the White Lion next door.
