Bit down at heel and not a patch on the nearby red lion but it does the job Unremarkable really. It's open early in the week which is a bonus.

Had a quick one hee as I walked back from the Red Lion. Sharp's Eden, Pride and Hen. Fairly basic boozer with the additional of a thai restaurant. Sky Sports, pool table and seemed generally ok.

This place is literally across the road from where I work, occasionally go in but not much any more.

the Thai food is nice, the beer isn't half bad.

shame about the old bar lady dying a few weeks back :(

Until earlier this week the last time I had been in here was in 1992 whilst I was attending Hounslow Borough College (I think it’s called West Thames now, how posh!)

It’s changed a bit with the addition of a Thai restaurant which makes the drinking part of the pub a lot smaller than it used to be. The pool table and dart board are still there and an extra couple of screens have been put in for the sports.

Sharps Doombar and Eden were on alongside Black Sheep, John Smiths Extra Smooth and a few bog standard lagers. I had to wait a minute or so for the barman to finish putting pint glasses in the fridge before I was served – no apology was proffered.

I’ve no real complaints about the pub except for, as mentioned previously on these reviews, the overpowering smell of Thai food wafting around the pub.
