| This pub has the smell of impending death hanging over it, you can almost hear a bell tolling. The freehold is for sale rather than the leasehold (bong). The landlord and landlady were bickering with each other behind the bar, the landlord looks like a bloodhound and totally resigned to his fate (bong). I was the only person in the bar last night (bong). They have four handpumps on the bar but no cask ale, when I asked why the landlady said “They were left there by the previous owners, we aren’t going to use them” (bong). There is a large lounge as you enter the pub with a dartboard to the rear. To the right of the bar there’s a pool table and a quiz machine. If someone with energy and enthusiasm took it over and spent a few quid on a spruce up, it could actually be a pleasant pub, but it just isn’t currently.
