Nice single bar place on Goodge St - probably the sort of place large breweries are itching to make over but it was crowded when I went in and they should just leave it alone as it's a nice friendly after work pub. murgatroyd - 28 Jun 2009 20:05
Trundled into here, like hundreds must do, after a meal on Charlotte Street. Admittedly, I was a little ‘tired and emotional’ on arrival, but I found it to be warm, friendly and a little quirky. The wooden partitions and fixtures lent the place a real cosy feel. Two real ales on this visit: Deuchars and Landlord. Unfortunately, the IPA went off just as we arrived. However, I did manage to grab the last half and both beers seemed well kept and served at a decent temperature. Friendly barmaid. Chatty locals. P.S. They definitely serve Laphroaig in doubles, as I found out to my cost the following morning! aleandhearty - 8 Jun 2009 22:52
Pokey little bar, and the sort of place that you would expect to have an upstairs room (except it doesn't). Leaving aside the 'size matters' issue, the beer was well kept and the place has a good, friendly atmosphere. rpadam - 3 Jun 2008 23:43
Friendliest pub I've ever been to. After a week and a half of regular visits, I was invited to join the football team. If they're outside of their food service times, you're welcome to bring in your own food. Show your face just a few times, and you'll become family. mattex - 18 Dec 2007 22:13
This is my favourite pub in London and I've been to a few. The staff are great - you can talk to them when you want and be on your own when you want. Not so great if you can't get a seat inside but the guiness is top notch and they do creme de menthe which for some reason I only want when I'm there. Great place if you have no hang ups andy33brixton - 18 Jun 2007 14:27
