user reviews of Red Lion, St Peters

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Still a nice place, only not so anymore...fighting, glassings and general misbehaviour from a few customers whom the bar staff know but are willing to do nothing about..shan't be bringing wife in here until it's sorted!!

Excellent boozer, decent beers on, Gadds no.5, Sharp's Atlantic and Bombardier. Real friendly barstaff fronted by The lovely Mel.

nearest pub to where I live but dont often go in due to lack of sky sports. Apart from that its a good all round pub with a good little garden area

this is our new local. we visited on a monday lunchtime, had home cooked food, although we suspected that the chips had been re cooked from the day before. however, i enjoyed the food very much.

the pub is clean and welcoming, very dog friendly, nice food. we're not drinkers so I cant comment on the beer but we will visit again.

Used The Red Lion many times. Very well kept and well managed local Pub. 2 real ales always on, Ruddles or Doom Bar only 2.40 pint ! Don't know how they do it when you compare to other local pubs (Thorley) .
Always free bar snacks available - they even bring out garlic bread or pork pie & quiche etc., when there is a crowd in. Regular entertainment. Brilliant smoking area with real fireplace working in cold weather.
They do lunches in bar area and have Restaurant on first floor where they do a brill Sunday Lunch.
Worth a visit - we should support our independent local Pubs while they are still there - no good whingeing when they are all gone because of the Supermarkets and Government policies !
