The 'Turtle' bar/restaurant has been renamed & reopened as the "Lofty Turtle" a New York style loft-bar apparently!
Sounds interesting (...but probably pricey...!) :o) TJ

If you liked the clientele in the Plough (pre 2008) you'll like it here- although it lacks the olde worldy charm and the passing drinkers that the plough attracted. At first it felt like the Naked turtle was a picket line for the Plough with ex Plough Kronies protesting aginst people attending the Plough once under new ownership.
Always lively on a Friday evening

What a great bar.
Discovered it completely by accident. the drinks list is brilliant.
no nasty mass produced beers here but a load of unusual ales from around the world. the beer choice is great from sierra Nevada and Stiegl on draught to a great bottle selection.
Highly recommend the fillet club sandwich with a bottle of Brooklyn brown ale.
For those who are sick of big chain pubs with no choice this is your place to go..

Lively Bar with a great restaurant ad bar snacks and the added bonus of singing waitresses and pianist. Classy fun.
