| Spent a day out around Dulwich today with the family, and popped in this pub , only to find it was being refurbished ... must say looking good inside, the builders told me that it would be re opening on the 10th July, invited to the opening with the family, so will be coming back to Dulwich to see the finished article. jonjo - 1 Jul 2009 15:46 |
| It serves beer and shows football. How many pubs do that in Dulwich anymore? Also has some of the best bar service I've ever witnessed - minimal waiting and they always remember your drink. | the theme from "deliverance" strikes a chord in here as i enter. 8 sets of beer-fuddled eyes turn and look. I ask for a guinness and and am asked where I am from "as if it matters". " Dont be nosey" was the answer. I came in for a beer , not a geography quiz. funnily enough all eyes turned away and left me to my guinness and newspaper. guinness was average, have had better, pub was in dire need of cleaning. wont return but am very rarely in dulwich The_Pub_Inspector - 19 Jan 2009 16:56 |
