| This pub has a great location overlooking Eltisley village green. But the superlatives end here. The pub has been modernised and effectively spoilt. The welcome we received was frosty and we were immediately told that we would only be served one drink as they were closing (just before 4pm on a Bank Holiday Monday). The impression we got was that they were doing us a favour by serving us a few minutes before closing. I wonder how pubs like this continue to survive.
