Superb community local with three cracking ales on tap. Well worth a visit. At time of visit an extension was being built so that the landlord can offer food. Hopefully this will be as good as his beer.

Super young couple have now bought it as a free house. They haven't changed much, and have integrated with the community. Beer is good, and atmosphere great. Current pub of choice in the Langley area!

This very nice little pub in the centre of Langley features good views out back of the slopes of nearby Tegg's Nose. Friendly service and good beer. (Banks's Bitter appears to be permanently available and is augmented by other guest ales, e.g. Happy Valley's Five Rings and Wincle's Butchered brown ale.)

Nice little terraced pub in an attractive village on the fringes of the Peak District. Pleasant multi-level beer garden at the rear, ideal in today's sunny weather. Beer was well-kept, although Banks's Bitter and Everards Beacon was a somewhat unimaginative range - why not try something from a local micro-brewery in Cheshire?

Great traditional pub. Free pool. Guest ales.
Nice beer garden at back, over looking the stream, playing fields and Tegsnose Country park.
They don't do food, but Richard the landlord keeps a collection of takeaway menus behind the bar. He phones, they deliver and he provides cutlery and even washes up after you! What a great idea - Chinese banquets, pizzas watching football, or just a proper ruby murray for two with a decent pint.
Gets my vote.
