a bar much typical of its area, staffed with out of work actors who deem themselves beyond the job in hand.

listen you deluded, talentless beckham-lites, you're out of work actors for a reason; the bill can only employ so many of you at any one time. you're not gonna be talent spotted in this place, the casting director f*c ked off 20 minutes ago as he had to wait so long to get served!

buy a couple of cans from tesco and plot down with the winos outside the post office, you'll be glad you did.

Went there last night for a couple of drinks, early evening, with my girlfriend. When paying my card off at the bar I was told to wait as the machine was busy.
The woman remembered after 5 minutes then declared "Do you realise its a £15 minimum spending limit?"

I pointed out her colleague told me it was £10 hence me using the card. Her disparaging remark "I'll let you off this time" was met with disapproval. When we complained after she had told my girlfriend "I'm not talking to you" she would only reveal herself as the manager, minus any name.

Her colleague came to the bar and backed me up, confirming he'd told me the minimum card spend was £10. Looking sheepish but unrepentant she thrust my card back at me. We indicated we'd probably avoid the bar in future after the rude service, that was met with a dismissive about turn.

The layout works, the tables well spaced, drinks are reasonable but very worrying if you're using a card and the staff think its £10 spend, while the "manager" says its £15! The service alone made it extremely avoidable in future, there are plenty of similar pubs such as Salvador & Amanda where the staff are pleasant and the decor even nicer.

not as good as it was about a year back, went last friday and they were out of most draft lagers, and the staff behind the bar were sloooooooooow.

the girls at the cloakroom were lovely, friendly and chatty though and deserve 10 stars!

Didn't plan on going here, didn't eat here, didn't drink here. Turned up with some mates - slightly pissed, blagged free entry, danced to the fab DJing
