| Corner pub next to the end of England's most northerly canal, hence the name. Big open plan U shaped room with comfortable seating, big screen TV and a pool table. Only reasonably kept John Smiths Cask available on handpump plus the usual Fosters, Guinness, Strongbow range of kegs, Guinness seems especially popular here. There is a dart board, photos of previous pub sports teams and lots of trophies plus a corner devoted to Leeds United. Very much an older locals pub but quite friendly. anonymous - 6 Apr 2009 19:01 |
