| Country pub full of character both the people and property. A beautiful roaring open fire place in a cosy nook and another in the middle of the pub. A great place to warm up with a glass of ale, mulled wine, expresso coffee and even tea. This recently refurbished pub is child and dog, we've been advised a beer garden is being landscaped in April 2012 and the function room is perfect for a small wedding or private party. The landlady Mollie is fantastic! Speak to her with your requirements and you wont be disappointed with the service here. We cant wait to book our party here and the catering is done on site. Generous parking space too. Carry on down the road and you'll be at Bodiam Castle and stream railway in no time. Or go through lush country lanes to Rye. Simply lovely Countrybunkin - 12 Jan 2012 21:26 |

| After the last persons comment I walked in expecting people with pitch forks but to my surprise a cracking little pub in the heart of the countryside. A great choice of real ales on tap and I found the characters friendly and polite. Good old fashion BOOZER just how a pub should be. Here here to the great British boozer. | What a shame could (and was) be a wonderful pub set in the heart of the village but if you are not in with the clique or love loads of children under your feet don't even bother walking thro the door. unclebrian - 13 Aug 2011 09:39 |
