After visiting this pub I think I have PTSD. A swarm of flies hovers above the pool table area and hastily printed out signs with a care-free attitude to the rules of English grammar, warn punters not to buy illegal goods. Of course there is no ale, and the pint of Fosters tasted like chemicals. I was surprised to see they have a 5 star food hygiene rating because the pub is filthy. A drunken guy with blackened teeth asked us to put the Wombles on the jukebox since he was banned from using it. The awful lager was £4 a pint.

Still an odd pub, the crowd inside can be a little off putting but no worse than the crew you see in the average Spoons pub. The beers are the usual collection of lagers and Guiness, but they do try for live music and the place seems fairly orderly if a little ramshackled. Mainly a regulars pub with more than a sprinkling of dogs. The location has massive potential and it could do so much better, but is probably hampered by the proximity of the local street drinkers, toilet for druggies and betting shop. Not a venue for a visit on a Summer's day - which for St Leonards is a great shame.

Still out of commission as of Christmas 2014. This is a huge potential venue if a new owner couple up the ante and improve on the Zombieland clientèle that plagued the pub before the last time. With a refurb and decent beer, this could be a fantastic venue for a boozer.

Tended to shy away from this place, based mainly on the reports of others and the creatures of the night that seem to gravitate between there and the betting shop nearby. But it does seem to be improving. Beer fair to middling but the clientele can be "challenging!"

Yeah agreed - Landlady is so much fun.
