Absolutely dreadful pub - smelly, small, grotty stanard keg range and neandertal customers. One point for being open and having an attractive garden out back. Avoid! flashharry1965 - 9 Aug 2011 16:18
Picture the scene, train from West Brompton was going to be another 25 minutes, so myself and my friend decided to go to the nearest pub for a "quick pint" 1. Two bottles of budweiser cost us over £7 2. The gentleman sat near the door then accused us of coming into the pub WITH said bottles of beer 3. Two friendly youths (on their way out for a fag) asked us rather menacingly whether we were Celtic or Rangers 4. I replied I was a Leeds fan and my friend was South African, which seemed to confuse them a little! 5. AVOID THIS S***HOLE LIKE THE PLAGUE Macca67 - 4 Mar 2011 23:24
Scottish owned pub, very very 'ordinary' pub, not like the usual for the area, you dont need to wear a suit to go in, great selection of drinks, the Guinness is excellent, great banter, the crack is good, the locals speak to you, you can go in alone and enjoy yourself, everyone speaks and jokes together, reall good!! one in a million in that area, glad i found it!!! thmsjlmnt - 15 May 2009 23:11
No real ale on. The tables are all garishly formica topped, making the place look like some sort of cheap caff. Outside, an enormous Sky Sports advert completely covers the name of the pub – I understand the need to advertise, but an advert like this is totally out of place in a small-fronted pub like this one. This used to be great little pub when I was a lunchtime regular back in the 80s, but not now. Not recommended. RexRattus - 19 Apr 2009 11:10
This is a small café that has had a bar put into it, but the metal tables and breakfast menu remains. It sounds like a travesty, but the locals and music added to the dartboard hanging on the back wall gave a very friendly atmosphere. There is a limited draught selection and unsurprisingly no real ale, but the Guinness was good. I’m not sure that I’d go back again, but I’m glad that I visited just once to see that you can create a bar with a good atmosphere just about anywhere. Strongers - 30 Mar 2009 14:45
