| The pub changed hands towards the end of last year and is now being run by a couple who know how to run a pub properly. The food is excellent and the beer kept in very good condition. | Always pay this pub a visit while holidaying in Cornwall, it's a nice retreat from other places that get too busy. Apart from the exterior signs, nothing changes, which is why this place remains one of the gems in Cornwall. The interior is great, unpoilt several partioned areas and an area for drinking near the bar. A Skinners ale and Sharps Doom Bar is on offer from the cask on the stillage, both in good condition, the correct temperature for a cool evening, but maybe not cold enough for a hot day. Food is excellent, taken time over and prepared by a proper chef, there's some interesting specials at very reasonable prices, the same prices you'd pay for normal pub grub at other pubs. brisk - 29 Sep 2009 14:11 |
