| After many visits to Yetminster I finally managed to find a time when I was thirsty and it was open - shame it's not open on a Sunday night but I guess there's no point opening just for me. Very welcoming and friendly with well-kept Butcombe on draught when I was there. Definitely will be back for a longer session. Aside from good beer and friendly people: on a purely aesthetic note, it's got a dark, warming and solid feel to the interior, but there's far too much of the red velour that makes it look like something from the 1970s, and the fluorescent cardboard cutout stars attached to the spirit optics.... for goodness sake... lipster - 4 Apr 2011 11:36 |

| Excellent country village inn with a warm welcome, pleasant ambience and comfortable bar areas. Only one ale on, but it least it was Doom Bar - so worth the visit. My wife gave the place extra Brownie points because they have individual bottles of sparkling wine. We didn't eat, but menu looks OK if a little pedestrian and slightly overpriced.
