user reviews of Whitewebbs House, Enfield

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Popped in after a round of golf at the neighbouring course only to find London Pride and Greene King IPA both off (no ales available at all), as indeed was the Stella. Bar staff didn't respond favourably to my subsequent comment of "Perhaps easier if you tell me which , if any, beer you DO have?". Didn't bother to wait for an answer - left and found another pub (with beer!) not too far away! Only visit if you're desperate for a carvery (which is good value) but don't expect to wash it down with your beverage of choice!

Now a Toby Carvery, very good if that's what you're after, but not the greatest place when judged solely as a pub.
Standard range of drinks, so-so prices, pretty good service though and the building is wonderful and the decor and furnishing pleasant and comfortable. Nothing by way of entertainment and the constant flow of people flocking in to queue up for a roast dinner prevents it from being a great place for a quiet drink either.

For a Brewers Fayre it's not at all bad although the food, as you might expect, can be a bit hit and miss. I've had some really good meals here but I've also had a couple of really crappy ones that were enough to stop me visiting for several months. The staff are OK - just - the attitude to customer service often borders on the cavalier. Beers are nothing exceptional.
