Lunchtime visit, enjoyed Harveys from a wide range of real ales. Landlord knowledgeable: a proper pub. blooms - 28 Oct 2011 09:24
My type of pub! Went in on Monday evening and was immediately struck by the decor, clientele and the owner, Graham. I am not even going to criticise the pub for running out of the two handpumped ales (these things happen!), but will say that I agree with previous posts (great when the weather's wild!), and wish I had a local like it! The curry afterwards was excellent too! roobs52 - 19 Aug 2010 18:34
been going to this pub for 30 years - love it - don't know why, it's a bit like cheers, always someone in there you know - so cosey and freindly - lovely in summer with the outside sea view area, and great to be holed up on a blustery winter's day with the fires burning SuzieCas - 27 Sep 2009 13:09
Nice old style english seaside public house good pint and nice meal prices reasonable in the current market.can get a bit draughty as on the seafront so watch where you sit unless you not bothered.a bit on the dark side in there but adds a bit to the quaint atmosphere a good place to have a pleasant drink in nice surroundings and good grub too plenty of choices and the quality is good too and its pretty clean and friendly.recommended! mintyfc - 16 Sep 2009 12:00
We went for lunch here twice - 2 adults, 2 kids and plenty of choice for all of us, even though we are vegetarian. Fresh and plentiful salads and great chips plus good service. A very old fashioned pub which some will love and some find dated but it is what it is. The outside is quite something, as the owners grow flowers all over the facade. Tourists looking for a traditional English Pub will find it here. vegeparent - 15 Aug 2009 18:25
